Please, your critique/thoughts of my poem?

I walk along dark paneled halls
On silent feet except for old floor creaks,
And in complete night
(I used to know this darkness! But now I
Gently bump the walls, hands held out in blindness).
Through one far window snow piles up on pane,
Muffling the weary wilds
That creep up from out-of-doors, the heath, the moors.
Your door –my breath stops – and it opens gently
And you – tenderly lying in dying hearth-light,
In twisted blankets and asleep.
Tip-toeing across the deep oriental rug, crawling
Into the covers,
Breathing now to settle my body against yours…
You wake dreamily and say nothing but a smile
And a kiss in my hair and your hands finding
Mine, and this says enough.

Poll: What foods do you hate and why?

1) Coleslaw-it’s watery mayo and cabbage…ewww..
2) Licorice…it’s just nasty
3) Pork rinds…it’s fried pig skin..pigs roll in poop…gross
4) liver…the liver removes toxins from the body..why would you eat toxins?
5) curry…there are over 1000 recipes for curry…because it’s so disgusting they had to keep trying to make it good…thai curries are ok, the rest are smelly, yellow, rank and poop inducing!
6) bamboo shoots..the texture is gross, like eating an oriental rug boiled in brillo or something…nasty

What are your most hated foods? Why? Be sure to add WHY…the why part is always funny IMHO!

Why would a dog eat a rug?

My dog keeps eating bits of an oriental rug – it looks like a huge moth has been snacking on it. Is there anything I can do to keep her from eating the rug? I don’t want to take the rug up because the wood floor is hard and does a number on my knees.

how can i make my room more bohemian?

i dont want to spend too much money. probably or 0 at the very most. hot pink bedding with polka-dots, and a black shag rug. i have huge closets that slide open that are just white… i have nothing on them, two windows. for what i have to use.. ive travelled a lot – especially in eastern asia – so i have a lot of oriental stuff. ive also been to a lot of western europe and i have lots of stuff from south america that i got from my mom so.. theres that. also, my bed doesnt have a headboard so.. any suggestions for that? i like my room to be really personal (pictures, etc.) and also really unique. i like to take vintage stuff and make it more modern with color and things. any ways i can make it more bohemian? thanks(:

What do you think of this short passage?

It’s just a little something I wrote, feel free to share ways to improve this!

Passing Paduak doors, I gradually walk down a narrow hallway. Slowly, I peek around the staircase, and nonchalantly saunter into the study. A foul stench passes along the air; the aroma of a cheap bottle of Old Mr. Boston. A chrome flask lay across the floor, staining an oriental area rug. The light reflects off the chrome, and catches my eye. Engraved letters read “G.H”; George Hauser. Daddy, and here lies the way he manages the pain of my passing. Oh, daddy, how I wish you could see that I’m living inside these walls. As I watch you and Mom brood over my death; so gravely do I want to reach out and tell you I’m here. To you, I am nothing but a lost soul under Earth’s exterior. My voice is nothing but the faint creak of the timber floor. Please do not remember me as the Mr. Boston in your flask, but as the sweet cologne that once danced off your old church shirt. I would trade immortality to feel the strength of your arms; draw me close to your chest , and remember me as the scent you sprayed onto your shirt every Sunday morning.
