So, I just moved back home to help my mom with some stuff around the house because she’s getting older. I noticed when I first got here about a month ago that her pets (long haired dachshund, persian cat) had a few fleas. I bathed the dog and put a treatment on both (Hartz Ultra Guard Pro) but, they seemed to be getting worse. I obviously can’t bathe the cat without losing a finger and I live in a small town with no groomers.
Well, it gets better. My mom is allergic to some chemical that is in most bug sprays, foggers, etc. and she’s somewhat of a pack rat and has furniture to big for the rooms its in just because it was a granmothers or whatever (hence the moving home to help with stuff around the house). So, even if I got her out of the house to bomb it, it would take me a month or more to wipe down every knick knack and whatever else she has collected over the years.
I did some research and found diatomaceous earth. I ordered a huge back from Amazon and went to sprinkling. I put it on the rugs, on the floors, in the pets bedding, and on the pets. I let it stay over night and vaccuum it up in the mornings and repeat.
Today, I walked into the front of the house in a room that we never use and within a minute had fleas on my ankles. so I immediately ran to the store and bought bengal flea spray in a purple container and sprayed the room down but, I will have to go wash the room down later or my mom won’t be able to go in there without a hive breaking out.
I know they spread fast but geez! I’m at a loss because of my circumstances with the allergy and stuff in the way keeping me from fogging. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hopefully, someone out there has some expierence with some awesome suggestion.

i have a persian rug with camels and arabic people on it along with a building and they are underneath a starry sky. the colors are not very bright some dark blue and tan with a blue trim. it is most likely before the 1940s probably 1930s before Persia was called Iran and Iraq. How much could it be worth?? No rips except a tiny one in corner? any idea? thanks

He started going on area rugs or bath rugs when he was a year old. The cause was determined to be behavioral because we had a new baby. He never stopped so we don’t have any type of rugs in the home! Now, 9 yrs later he decides to go right in front of the refrigerator. He would sneak at first, now he’ll look right at you & go! He has TWO litter boxes that are constantly clean! The Vet ruled out infection so now it’s behavioral. Is there a way to stop this??

Is it tacky to use wicker furniture indoors? I have a massage business and my massage room is decorated in Indian theme. I have a waiting room to decorate and I have persian rugs, many ornamental pillows, and lots of candles, etc. and it is very lush and elaborate. Would it be ok to use wicker furniture in the waiting room if I used red/gold/sequined cushions for them to dress them up? The room is pretty useless, as it is just where the clients come and get accustomed to me before they go in for the massage room. No one ever sits down or hangs out in there, as it is more of a meet/greet room in the entrance before you go into the massage room, but it is very large, maybe 250 sq. feet.
If not, what sort of loveseat or chairs would you use?

I know what I did so please dont judge me, but I just want to know how to handle this situation. I bought 3 "Persian, authentic, silk" on craiglist from people who said they were real.I paid over 1000 but when i checked with a professional Persian expert, he said they are not worth even 300 and that they arent silk and not handmade. How do I handle this situation? i want my money back and these people are selling a lot of rugs on craiglist.Can i call the police and get them involved?Because they are scamming a lot of people

Whenever my dog takes a dump in the house, she does it on the exact same spot on my mom’s Persian rug. My mom scolds her but for some weird reason she just doesnt get it. My dog isn’t stupid, so why the hell does she do it?
