I'm traveling from D/FW to Atlanta on I20. It worked out cheaper to drive. Leave Sunday or Monday, what time?

Me, my wife and a Persian rug are headed to Perry, Georgia (mom’s house) from Fort Worth, Texas. Suggestions along the way, Construction issues, any help would be great.

Watch for rain. It rains along I-20 like you wouldn’t believe.
It is smooth sailing for the trip. Watch your speed in Mississippi and Alabama. There’s real construction issues on Sunday. There are high traffic volumes and inadequate lanes during certain times on weekdays in Jackson and Birmingham.
I would leave Sunday and avoid the mess. If you don’t mind driving at night, it’s the easiest drive in the world. If you want daylight, I’d leave around 8 or 9 in the morning. You’ll have plenty of time.
Buckle up and keep it within 10 miles of the posted limit.
