Salamander in my room?

I live in the Everglades and it’s been raining a lot lately so I figured this would happen.
I lifted a rug and this thing jumped out on my hand and then ran away. He scared the living daylights out of me. He keeps running under my bed. My cat keeps hanging out under my bed but unfortunately his hunting skills are lacking.
I have no problem with wildlife, just not in my room. How can I get this thing out of my room?
I never said I hated wildlife. I see alligators and python snakes around here all the time and it doesn’t bother me. I just don’t want salamanders in my room. I have palmetto bugs as it is

let me see if i understand this – you live in the everglades but you have issues with a salamander in your room. they’re harmless and will help rid you of the stray mosquito over night. if you must get rid of it, leave a window cracked – it’ll find its own way out.
lol! you need to catch it… i have no clue how to lure a salamander though…
When I have a bug in my room I usually take a container like a rubbermade box and sort of scoop the critter into it. Maybe you could use a net? Make sure your cat is out of the room when you do so the guy doesn’t get made into a cat toy.
salamanders are harmless as Pacman has stated. if you have palmetto bugs I’d be looking to add a gecko to that menagerie.
