Looking for info on rugs safavieh, home dynamix rugs, oriental area rug, gabbeh persian rugs and more?

I am looking for a new carpet to install on my 94" Ram 1500. I have found two good possibilities on two different sites but the price difference is making me question. Which carpet would be the best insulation wise? I can buy some carpet padding is necessary.

"Assalam alaikum, how’s things Dad?" asked Ahmed. "What’s news?" he asked again as they sat down at the table together.

Ranya brought the plates through & handed one to each person. They were brightly colored porcelain plates that she’d received as a wedding present. Grandpa reached out his shaky old hands & grasped the plate as best he could, but it slipped from his grip & fell into pieces on the floor.

"Of all the…" began Ranya.

Grandpa frowned & looked at the mess on the floor. Mashed potatoes, peas & gravy & a nice piece of chicken were splashed over the nice woolen rug that decorated the dining room floor.

"I’m ever so sorry," said Grandpa nervously, as he tried to get up.

"No Dad, don’t worry. Accidents happen. I’ll get a cloth." Ahmed got up smiling & continued to talk about his day at work, trying to break the tension that he could see forming around his wife’s figure. He met Ranya in the kitchen.

"Your father is forever messing up this house Ahmed. I can’t stand it."

"You’re exaggerating Ranya, things like this don’t happen everyday. I’ll clean it up."

"What about my plate? Now the set’s incomplete."

"I’ll get you another one, don’t worry," reassured Ahmed.

"Well, he’s not getting another one of those plates," she said as she reached into the cupboard & took out a wooden bowl.

"He spent the whole afternoon carving out a boat for Saleem, instead of trying to do something to help around here, so if he likes wood so much, he can eat from this." & she threw it down on the kitchen table.

Ahmed looked at his wife. He saw in her, that day, a side he hadn’t seen before & wasn’t so sure he liked it. He looked at the wooden bowl & then at his wife and walked out of the kitchen carrying the dustpan & a damp cloth. Ranya served another lot of food onto the wooden bowl & put it in front of Grandpa.

"Yes, yes, I do believe that’s better. I’m a bit clumsy sometimes," said the old man, half to himself & half out loud.

Saleem looked at the wooden bowl & started to eat his dinner but tears were forming in his eyes. He wasn’t quite sure why he felt like that but he felt really sorry for Grandpa & knew he didn’t mean to drop the plate.
The next day Saleem went into the garage & started working on another piece of wood. He was in there all day while Grandpa rested in bed. He wasn’t feeling very well. Ahmed had a day off and had just finished weeding the flowerbeds & wanted to return the tools to the garage when he noticed Saleem working away.

"What are you doing son?" asked Ahmed in his kindly voice.

"I’m making something."

"What is it?" asked Ahmed, coming a little closer.

"Well, it’s something for you."

"Really? I’d like to see it."

"Ok, I’ve just about finished. You can come and look."

Ahmed approached Saleem’s work place & saw a rather large wooden bowl. He’d made it quite well & it was smooth and even.

"Good work son," commented Ahmed.

"But do you think I need such a thing."

"No, maybe not now. But I thought I’d keep it for you until you get old like Grandpa."

i have a puppy and when i bought him he had fleas and i didnt know and i let him in my house and we have have carpet and i took him to the groom and you the fleas removed but i heard the fleas are still on the carpet thats why he keeps getting fleas again. does anyone know whats the best rug powder? to put on the carpet then vacuum up later? please & thank you

I would ask at a store, I just don’t want to be misled with the sales pitches. I just want an effective and reliable machine. Any suggestions?

He started going on area rugs or bath rugs when he was a year old. The cause was determined to be behavioral because we had a new baby. He never stopped so we don’t have any type of rugs in the home! Now, 9 yrs later he decides to go right in front of the refrigerator. He would sneak at first, now he’ll look right at you & go! He has TWO litter boxes that are constantly clean! The Vet ruled out infection so now it’s behavioral. Is there a way to stop this??

i know that it is a dressing room! lol, but like the red dresser, chair, small table with the drawer, the pink vase with flowers, large mirror, curtains, ottoman, paintings in the frame, the little bowl on the dresser, the sconce beside the large mirror, and the rug can be in a bedroom but i just want to know where i can buy those things from like an online website to be purchased and delivered. so like things like that but, i dont need help finding a bed, i just need help finding where to buy stuff like that on the internet! lol. please help! give me a link please! thanx for the help!

Is there any shortcut/ trick to temporarily making woodfloors look nice until we can afford to refinish them? I bought large, new rugs & painted walls to detract. But the floors are in rough condition (stains and peeling off shellac/ bare spots) the wood is in tact–no holes/rot, just need refinishing. I am going to try to steamclean them tomorrow. Can I just put polyurethane or oil or something on them until next year or so? Cannot afford to sand, nor can we have dust all over the place.

I pose this question to mothers because you know how important a vacuum can be when you have toddlers and children. I’m trying to find the best vacuum… and I don’t care about cost. My house has marble & granite floors, ceramic tile, and wood floors… with area rugs throughout. I’ve been forever looking for the best vacuum for all my needs. One that has good suction, has easy onboard tools that actually meet all needs, has a long enough hose that when being used, doesn’t tip the vacuum over. I don’t care if it’s with bag or bagless.
I have owned a kirby, a red devil, a Euro-Pro (love it but isn’t versatile enough), and currently wasted money on the Eureka Ultima (because it had the dusting wand… what a waste). I would like the advice of people who’ve had their vacuums for some time… not just bought it recently… since they all seem to be fine right out of the box. I’ve heard Dyson is good… but I’ve also read reviews that said it sucked. Only experience can tell.

I want to go the VMA awards but not into the actual arena where the awards are held. I just want to be behind that gate thing that they have right next to the red carpet where the celebrities walk. Sometimes they even go to the fans & sign autographs. How do I get into that? Do I have to buy tickets or just wait outside the arena near the red carpet?

I will be buying a zebra print area rug for my teenage daughter’s bedroom in the near future. Only problem is, she wants a lime green zebra print. If I buy a white & black print, how do I make it the color she wants?

Any drawbacks that I’m missing? I know it won’t be nearly as sturdy of long-lasting as a rug, but it certainly will be easier to clean!

And does anyone know what I should do to get it cut in that shap/who I should take it to? I don’t have a sewing machine, but I’m willing to pay to get the fabric hemmed.
