I have dogs, cats & kids, which is the very best canister vacuum? I have hard wood floors and one area rug. Suction is the key and I want a vacuum that will not loose it ever!!!

I have hardwood and an area rug in the living room and tile in my kitchen. I also have a German Shorthair Pointer who sheds year round. I need a good floor vac that I can use daily to get up the dirt he brings in and constant supply of dog hair he leaves me. I’m also looking for a steam cleaner for the floors so if it happens to come in a 2 in 1 type of thing that’s great too!

I have tongue and groove floor panneling and had an area rug taped down on it. Now we are moving and the tape has stuck to the floor. I don’t want to scrape it off because I am worried about taking the finish off the flooring. Any suggestions?

I just recently purchased a cinnabar color sectional couch. My walls are a beige color and my carpet a beige color. I would like to purchase an ottoman and throw pillows and an area rug. What are the right colors for those items? Im sooo stupid when it comes to decorating lol thanks

So just got an awesome new area rug and some idiot got ash on it! So can anyone help me figure out to get it out?

I have a Tan Microfiber Couch and Chair. I have a light color wood table and end tables. I’m moving to a bigger place. I don’t want to get new furniture, but I want to add more pieces. My TV stand has a darker color wood, Its very little. I have an area rug with multiple colors in it; tan, brown, and other natural colors. What pieces can I add and what color. Its hard to find exact pieces to go with the couch. So what are my options?

I have a red microfiber couch and a VERY dark brown leather chair. My coffee table and end tables are back metal with glass tops. My entertainment center is black. The area rug has black and brown in it…pulling those 2 colors together. The red couch has got an orange tint to it? I have seen hunter green, many times, the other color. I am just very bored with the brown and black, but can’t afford to change them right now. The couch is from Ashley furniture. They have bright colors- green and yellow- with the red couch. Almost looks like a child’s playroom. I want to brighten up the room. OH! and until May, we (my husband and I) are renting. So, I cannot paint. The walls are a beige color (with a yellow tint). I am 21 and he is 24…so we like the modern appeal as well. PLEASE HELP!!!!!! I hate sitting in my LR. Thank you.
I DO like bright green (lime green, etc)… just not much on the hunter green (for brightening anyway). But, how could lime green fit with red? I love the (shiny) silvers and golds mentioned. PLEASE keep posting. Thank you all for the responses to this point.

Why do some people think wood floor looks prepubesant? Does shaved legs or armpits look prepubesant?

I bought a super cute area rug at a yardsale for . Because it was sitting in the sun when I bought it I didn’t realized it has a horrible odor until I got it home…my mistake. Since I only paid for the rug, I can’t justify renting a rug doctor for to clean it. I’m willing to put some effort into cleaning it I just don’t know how to go about actually doing it…can anyone help me? Thanks!!

i have a house cat and he never gose outside, well we have a 14 month old baby and has been around him since shes been born,and it doesnt seem to bother her. i mean i know they bite but if they were going to hurt her in anyway we would have known already. ive done the flea baths and everything. i just hate seeing them jump around on the couch and rug. we have hard wood floors but the only rug we have is a area rug in the living room. what should we do?

I just bought a mid-century, modern home with a formal living room having a charcoal slate floor with a random pattern. After closing, I moved the area rug in the center of the room to discover a 9′ x 12′ gap covered by plywood! The mosaic floor is old, worn and custom designed…so matching the design would be nearly impossible. An area rug is okay, but are there any other options?

I just recently discovered that my dachshund has been peeing on my shag rug. How can I clean this. it is an area rug, so i can’t just throw it in the washer. I don’t want to throw it away because it took me forever to find this particular color rug. any suggestions.

Okay I have an 8 by 10 area rug on my hard wood floor that needs to be immaculately cleaned!
I have a three year old and two small dogs so there are stains but my main concern is we got one of our dogs as a pup a couple months ago and it peed all over the carpet so ounce he was potty trained I rented a carpet cleaner which didn’t even work on the stains or the smell, and about a week ago I babysat a friends dog and her 4 five week old puppies for a couple days……well as you can guess my house now smells like pee even with me trying to keep up with them by cleaning the spots with natures miracle and simple solution extreme. also i don’t want to get rid of the rug if I can save it because it was very expensive and i like it
SO this is what im thinking, Ill take the rug outside and lay it on my tarp, hose it wet than poor tide laundry detergent all over it and scrub it with a cleaning brush than hose it off and hang it on my chain link fence to dry? does anyone think this will work? are there any other strong product you would recommend? or a different way to get it completely clean??? thanks!

Iwas deciding on putting hardwood floor i nour living room,and than theirs the hallway wich iwas gonna put carpet leading to the bedrooms. Will it look funny that way.because people usually put hardwood in halway too. i dont want an area rug in halway. Just wodering if it would look alright with both together like that.
