Looking for info on rugs safavieh, home dynamix rugs, oriental area rug, gabbeh persian rugs and more?

My husband and i just bought a house and we need to recarpet it entirely before moving in. We have 2 dogs and 1 cat, and want this carpet to last at least ten years. This carpet would be used in all the bedrooms and the stairs of our home (We are doing the downstairs in laminate.) We are on a budget and do not need to spend more than per yard. Considering our options, what is the best kind of carpet we can get for our money that would be attractive and durable?

I really like PB Teen’s curtains (http://www.pbteen.com/shop/rugs-windows-coverings/window-curtains-drapes-sheers/index.cfm?cm_type=gnav), but they are too expensive for my budget. I was wondering if there was anywhere else that sold curtains like these. (Light, airy with pastel colors.)

In my townhouse because I’m in the process of selling it and want it to look nice. The part to be carpeted would be upstairs which is about 1054sf. I’d like to get a decent carpet but not too expensive. Do you have any idea about a budget? Buying a carpet and hiring someone to do the carpeting. Thanks for your help.

I am going to paint my walls a pastel purple. This is a big step for me but I want colors to contrast this and match. I am going for a indie type feel to my room. My furniture is white so i want everything else to have colors like brown, dark green, stuff like that. But I dont know what will match. I just need decor, rugs, and lighting. Any ideas would be great like specific links to places such as target, walmart, (not k mart ) and stuff like that bc I am on a budget. And no order online stuff bc I am going to the stores personally ( im 14)

I am moving into a new bedroom soon, and I am looking to decorate and furnish on a SERIOUS budget. I am talking less than 0. I need lighting, wall decorations, maybe some floor storage things that are cute, and possibly rugs. The floor will be tile, in a neutral beige color. Its a possibility that my walls will be light purple to dark purple, but thats up in the air. Anyone have any resources for DIY projects that can be done cheaply, or places to buy cheap bedroom stuff? Any place besides walmart and kmart please. Our local stores have crap.
WOW! Great ideas so far! Our window is going to pretty large, but there is only one. I am guess it is 5 feet wide left to right? I also have a queen size bed, but theres a possibility of a king. The new bedroom is medium sized, but big enough to host all sorts of goodies.
Btw, I already have paint. And paint isnt expensive. I have most of what I need, I am just looking for wall stuff for the most part.

I will be beginning my teaching career this school year and I got a message from the Principal from the school I will be teaching at telling all of the teachers, "Now is the time to be ordering and shopping for school supplies". Where can I get all of my new supplies (stores and Websites, please) I will be teaching Elem. School, 5th Grade to be more precise. And all that they’re supplying me are the following:
Teacher & Student desks, 1 filing cabinet, 1 semi-long table, 1 reading table, 1 bookshelf, Overhead Projector cart and 1-2 rugs. Thanks to everyone who answers!!!

My boyfriend’s apartment is a mess and we don’t have big budget to work with. He doesn’t have a bed frame or a headboard. He has really ugly couches. So what can I do to make his place look better withut spending too much money? I got him a little area rug, and a nice mirror. We are gonna go shopping and I really wanna help him. So what can Ido to make it look prettier what about wallpaper. Pretty muchhow to make it look nicer and homier without spending too much money?

We are getting married at my soon to be father in-laws house on his dock the grass stays wet because of the lake and we don’t plan on putting carpet rug runner things down because they are expensive. my sister had an outdoor wedding and she ruined her dress with grass stains and i don’t want to buy a wedding dress that will get ruined so, i was thinking about a shorter dress if i do a short dress i would like it to look sort of 1920′s-1950′s looking but i cant seem to find one. i plan on spending 500 or (hopefully) less on a dress. with our wedding being july 4th i can do red white or blue for a dress. my parents think i am crazy for having a simple cheap wedding in a backyard but its what fits in our budget and our personalities. i personally just wanted to get married at a court house and skip the wedding ceremony. but family members are making us have an actual wedding.

Due to allergy issues, we had to pull up carpets in our 80 year old house. Like many older houses, the hardwood is only stained around the perimeter, the center is bare (where an area rug would be) We need to avoid large area rugs, and the bare area is fairly large. We like the rustic look, and don’t really want to sand. There are some varnish marks on the stained areas that will need to be cleaned. We also have an infant that crawls- parts of the floor are sort of rough. We have a limited budget, so can’t call in the professionals.

Now what?

The kind you would find in a wealthy family’s mansion. Like chairs, tables, couches, rugs, curtains etc., and also full kitchens and bathrooms. Websites are good, but not ones like eBay! I mean like a proper company/store. And also not ones like IKEA, I mean expensive, almost exclusive ones.

P.S. The reason is I’m going to surprise my parents with a house makeover, and also I want to fully redecorate some of my own houses (they’re mansions, that’s why I like classy furniture!)
P.P.S. By "classy" I mean like, marble staircase and old wooden desk classy. And I love modern kitchens and bathrooms!

okay so i am 13 years old and i am currently "redoing my room" my walls are a salmony light pink, my desk is white, my dresser is white, my bedside table is white, my rug is zebra with a pink border (target) and my curtains are white ruffles (delias). I ordered a blue quilt with pom-poms on it(pbteen). very cute.. but im worried that it is too much with the zebra with pink, ruffles and then pompoms and bright blue.

does anyone have any ideas of quilts that would be good? names of stores where i could find them would be great!
also… my budget is not high.. i’d like to keep it to under 0 if possible.

I can only do one out of three. I live in a 2 bedroom, 1 and 1/2 bathroom, spacious living room/office, dining room and kitchen condo. My old dining room set now only has 3 chairs. but it previously had 4 chairs when i bought it. i don’t entertain that much b/c i am tight on budget. but i don’t really have time to sit down and eat anyway. i feel bad when others come over that they often sit on my couch to eat. the fellowship of eating together is not there. or should i paint my condo? i’ven’t painted it since 2001. it is white. it is not that bad, but i guess it is a bit shabby. also, i used to entertain a lot like at least once or twice a week. people spilled so many things on the beige carpet that it looks very bad. but in some places it’s okay.
when i said dining room set, i meant it with minimum of 4 to 8 chairs, a table, a buffet/china cabinet.

need some major help decorating our living room.. Our walls are a bone color (our house is small so this opens it up a lot) and we have neutral stone tile flooring. So basically the base of the house is very bland and I want some bold color accents. We have hand me down couches from my parents that are a dark green. The green is not bright what so ever and is extremely dual ( not do to age but that’s just the color) and is twined with brown. Don’t knock the couches, I know i’m not describing them right but they are really nice couches. I placed a thick brown blanket on the seating cushions of the couches making the couches look two toned and have these gorgeous brown curtains in the same room. I was going to get an area rug that had browns and blues and use the blues for the throw pillows. But the rug I found and love doesn’t come in multi color (it is a thick soft shag rug on overstock.com), but they have brown. But I feel if I get a plain brown rug that it is going to be very difficult to add color to this room. Any ideas please.

I have noticed blue and green go well with the bone color on the walls and the brown curtains. But I don’t know how to use this. I am also on a budget, we have a baby on the way so we are trying to save up for the little one.

ok, so i live in appartment whcih we rent. it has brown carpet and white walls. i am getting so bored with it. i can paint and do stuff but i just have to get permission from the landlord(he is nice, so thats not a problem). i want to decorate nicely but i have a very limited budget. i have a black futon and a green love seat. i dont wish to buy much for large stuff, maybe just like pictures and candles easy stuff like that. i have a pine entertainment center and pine shelfs.mostly i am looking for paint colors and maybe an area rug color. im pretty sure i need lots of plants. also it needs to be pretty low matenience because my boyfriend is messy and we both work lots. so some storage ideas would be good.
