Looking for info on rugs safavieh, home dynamix rugs, oriental area rug, gabbeh persian rugs and more?

We have hardwood floors and the dog never has used the bathroom on it but insists on "marking her territory" on the area rug. we have blocked off the carpeted areas with gates but I would eventually like to take them down.

Say that I moved all of the furniture out of the two rooms I wanted the floor installed in.

About how much would it be to install hardwood floors in a small dining room and new carpet in a small family room? Do not include labor.

Would it be less if we bought the hard wood flooring and carpet instead of them bringing their own?

I live in an apartment with my husband and two year old. We have hardwood floors throughout. My daughter has a little play room area and she is heavy on her feet and her toys are very loud when they hit the hardwood floors. The baby flooring doesn’t seem to be thick enough and I even put a area rug over it. Anyone have any creative suggestions? I thought of putting down gym mats and to make it soft and stylish put an area rug over that. Anyone think that could work?

My 12-months old son is throwing around his food. We have hardwood floors and a rug. Sometimes I have to clean up several times a day the same area.
Any tip how I can protect it? What do you do?
And.. at this age is it intentional or he is still learning about how things around work? Should I stop him or let him learn?

I want to buy an affordable walker for my son but I don’t know which one. I need something small ( I live in an apartment ) and that can roll easily on carpet and hardwood floors. Does anyone know? And on another note, does anyone know how to remove the seat from an intellitainer? It needs to be washed. Thanks!

I had coit come out and give me an estimate, and do not want to pay almost 0 for a carpet we will probably get rid of in a year or two. However, it is a very expensive carpet and want to keep it until then. I know that you can’t use traditional carpet cleaning machines on wool. I was thinking of getting a gallon of natures miracle and dousing the carpet with that. We have hardwood floors so we would have to put it somewhere to dry.

1st question: How long would the drying time be?
2nd question: Any other ways to clean the wool carpet to get rid of the smell? Some of the stains are probably quite old, but since the rug is dark brown we cannot see them.

Any help is appreciated. This is driving me crazy!

i have a cockapoo, about 7 years old. I have hardwood floors with area carpets that i just bought yesterday. When no one is around, she scratches at the carpet like shes trying to mark her spot or something, and i dont know if their is anything i can do because she is already starting to ruin them!, we had carpets before and were destroyed. What should i do?

Hello, all…kind of a curious circumstance here but let me get to it. I’ve been lounging at our city’s classiest hotel bar for the better part of this new decade. I find it to be everything I need after a long day of work. I get to meet a lot of new and different people, which is a nice change of pace from my very ordinary work day. Also, I play trivia at the bar, and I’m always learning terrifically useless tidbits about American Presidents and pop culture. Typically, I end up logging my answers and lending my ear to a frustrated bar patron or sometimes hearing a cautionary tale from someone fed up with the transitory lifestyle. But anyways, two nights ago this man of obvious wealth walked into the bar and immediately sat right next to me. He started chatting me up and buying me drinks and trying to place outrageous bets with me on the trivia questions. I noticed he had thousand dollars bills in his wallet. I was shocked. I’ve never seen bills like that! Then, Shirley eventually called last call on us and gave her usual “you ain’t got to go home but you can’t stay here” speech. At that point, the man asked me what I was going to do afterwards and invited me up to his room to keep drinking. I told him that I don’t usually head to private quarters with strangers, and he said, “Well, we’re not strangers anymore, my name is T.J. Maxx.” I didn’t believe him, but then he pulled out his ID and there was his name and photo right there. I was so excited to meet the man behind the greatest store ever!!! I basically got through college because of this guy’s commitment to making comfort affordable. So we went up to his room, and I couldn’t stop asking how he makes those awesome kitchen utensils so affordable and telling him how I would NOT have had an area rug for my cold hardwood floors if not for his great prices. He just kept downplaying how awesome he was and acting like it was no big deal. Next thing, he sits next to me on the couch in his room and shushes me with his finger and then just takes hold of me, closes his eyes, takes several deep breaths and falls asleep. I felt like I didn’t know what I should do, so I just went to sleep, too. The next morning I wake up, and there is no one else in the room and on the nightstand there are two keycards and a box of gourmet cookies with a sticker that says, “Thank you. –T.J.” It was truly a bizarre night. So that morning, I’m at work, and I’m telling my co-worker Doug about what happened, and of course Doug doubts my story and says that T.J. Maxx isn’t even a person, T.J. Maxx is just a store name. But Doug would doubt the rain is coming while it’s falling on his pessimistic head. So answer me, is T.J. Maxx a real person?

I am getting a new rug for my room. It is the first thing that I step on when I walk into my room, so it’s an area rug not a runner or a really big one. It also needs to match this bedding:

How do I clean my large area rugs? I have hardwood floors and the rugs are covering different areas. Two are 4 x 7 rugs and the other is a 5 x 7 wool carpet. I don’t want to harm the wood floors underneath with cleaners…

I can only seem to find a machine that is for barefloors and carpet at the most..but not hardwood. Is there anything out there so I don’t need to buy two machines? I only want it for my area rugs, couch and hardwood floors…So not heavy duty but something that will work.

I have a tan corduroy sectional with a chocolate brown big leather ottoman. The sectional also has some chocolate brown pillows and off white pillows along with the tan color, but the main color is tan. i have hardwood floors (a medium color brown).
What color rug should I get? I don’t really want anything too crazy because I can add color by buying accent pillows, but maybe i need something besides a shade of brown? Any advise is appreciated!
