I bought a mobile home that had "new carpet installed" well the carpet is new, but it wasn’t installed. They just laid it down after fitting it.

Now that I’ve moved some of my furniture around, it’s causing the carpet to pull up. I’ve laid tiles before, but not carpet. What do I do to get it installed properly?

I have a dog who has gotten sick on my rug and it’s made stains in some areas. I have used resolve to get it off and that did not work. Then I tried using some shaving cream and letting that sit for a while and removing it but that also didn’t work. I also used this orange product and that of course didn’t work. I can’t afford a new carpet and would really like to get the stains out of this one. What is the best product to use as these stains have been there a few months?

Well as i said above ^^ My two year old sister got into my paints and It isn’t just any paint, Its outdoor paint. And yes, she chose the worst color. Black. I am trying to gt it out so my parents don’t have to buy a whole new carpet. Does anyone know any way to get that out? I have tried nail polish remover, windex, bleach, and a asty combination of all three.Does anyone know anything I could use???

We just bought a house that desperatly needs new carpet and windows.

We have been searching around, and it seems like Empire is the one to go with. But my wacko father-in-law is insisting that they are a scam. And that as soon as they come in to do the work there are going to be all sorts of hidden fees.

My pomeranian has become a thorn in my side. She is loosing weight, going deaf, stinks no matter how often I bathe her, avoids family contact, and pees on my carpet every night. I really can’t stand the sight of her anymore. If she at least wanted to have something to do with us I wouldn’t even have this question. With 2 small children I can’t stand the thought of them on the carpet were the dog peed even after I cleaned it and my house is beginning to smell of dog pee. We just put down brand new carpet when we bought this house a year a go and now its nasty. I shampoo the carpet everytime I find a spot but that’s not enough. Should I feel guilty for not wanting to keep my dog even though she is getting old and becoming infirm?

Is there something I can put on the floor board before I put a new carpet down to get rid of the odor?

Hi! Were purchasing new carpet for our mobile home. They sell a pad to for an extra cost. Never bought carpet before. Is the pad something we really need? Thank you

Say that I moved all of the furniture out of the two rooms I wanted the floor installed in.

About how much would it be to install hardwood floors in a small dining room and new carpet in a small family room? Do not include labor.

Would it be less if we bought the hard wood flooring and carpet instead of them bringing their own?

We are having new carpet installed in our family room next week. Is it possible to somehow run an electrical cord under the carpet to a reading lamp that is near the center of the room (about 5′ from the nearest wall socket)? Presently, the lamp cord is partially tucked under an area rug that sits on top of the carpet. But we plan to get rid of this area rug once the new carpet is laid. We don’t want someone to accidentally trip over the cord.
I won’t give any "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" since I appreciate all answers–usually.

We bought a new carpet and I’ve stayed in my room for about 2 weeks now since the carpet was set. I don’t now if you now the smell of a new carpet. It smells like chemicals..
I wonder if this chemicals can be really harmful for my health.
Also, I’m a student so I wonder if it can damage my brain cells.

My husband and I would like to buy a home (not a new one). We just saw one that we like, but it needs to be painted, it needs new carpet throughout and it needs some new appliances.

I think that this would make a really beautiful home if we did those improvements.

But should we pay for them, or should the owner pay for them? Or should we get a better price?

Any experiences or advice? Thanks.

I am helping my son put ceramic tile down on a house he just bought and there is new carpet from the original owner. this carpet is with a metal strip with a lip turned towards the carpet and the depth is about 1/4 inch. can I just transition with grout?
