How will US enter Iran?
Looking for info on rugs safavieh, home dynamix rugs, oriental area rug, gabbeh persian rugs and more?
David Petraeus picked to lead Central Command.
How long before we enter Iraq.
We have the perfect setup with troops both in Afghanistan and Iraq. We have Iran almost surrounded.
We won’t let them start trading oil in Euro’s. We will create further chaos in the region for our benefit.
Main obstacle is to tie Iran to the phantom enemy called Al Qaeda we created.
We will consult our friend Bin Laden that we are looking after for occasions such as this.
How do we enter Iran?
A. another 9/11 type setup that prove of Iran’s involvement
B. iran wanting to build missile defense systems in Cuba and Mexico
C. Persian rugs of mediocre quality sold to US markets
D. Iran refusing US style democracy, free markets, and refusing to continue trading oil in dollars.
How dare they refuse US style democracy kept intact with debt and mass consumption.
I mean how dare they!
We will show them!!
We will bring Iraq up as an example to the rest in that region.
Allo, allo.
Bin Laden?
Allo?
OBL: yes, who is this?
CIA: Mr. Bin Laden, good afternoon
OBL: I thought we had a deal, what do you want now.
CIA: We need your help.
OBL: What is it now. …let me guess, Iran?
CIA: Yes, it’s Iran.
OBL: What do I get in return.
CIA: make an offer.
OBL: Same way that you gave birth to this Al Quaeda, same way you will bury it
CIA: You know we can’t do that. We had Soviet Union during the cold war, now all we have is Al Quaeda.
OBL: You got to understand I can’t bunch of thugs and clowns run around and start their own little Al Quaeda. This can;t happen no more. NO MORE!! You got that. You started Al Quaeda and named me the leader because that is what you wanted. you kill it OK?
CIA: Ok. Ok. Mr. Bin Laden.
OBL: I can’t take this thugs in Iraq fighting under the name Al Quaeda. They are mine.
You need them to keep fighting, I understand, because you don’t want them to leave.
CIA: Let me call you back, the game is on.

Am I being petty? Playdates?
My friend has 2 children, 3 yrs and 18 months and likes to come over for playdates with my 3yr old. I really like them all but am begining to dread the visits. I am alone with a small child, I work and have no relatives in this country. My husband works overseas too. The problem is that they come to my home which is spotless and just trash everything. I have very expensive curtains and the kids are pulling on them, dragging bedding out of my child’s room, playdoh trod into expensive persian rugs, food and drink everywhere – it’s insane. They behave like that at home but their mother doesn’t mind because she pays for a cleaner plus she doesn’t work. I find it hard to stay on top of everything as it is by myself plus I don’t like having things that we worked hard for just trashed. Am I being petty? I feel like an old grouch but I like to get ahead on weekends, not have someone come in and make more mess.
I should add that when I go to their house, I clear the table, vaccum any mess etc. I even stopped buying playdoh for my son because it just keeps getting wasted.
There is a playroom just off the living room and every single thing is hurled everywhere. I found ants in there a few days after a visit and when I looked further, there was half eaten sausage that the child had left.

Is non-artifact, non-museum/cultural legal during war?
I just ask, because when we were in OIF I, we were told by our Commander that as long as it wasn’t an artifact and we didn’t raid a museum, anything found in the palaces we occupied were fair game. Whatever you could fit in your quad cons that customs deemed appropriate for shipment back, and no contraband, basically. A lot of people brought home fine china, golden trinkets, furniture, simple jewelry and even Persian rugs. Of course, standard items like silk hijabs, mink blankets, portraits of Saddam, and cleaned out hookahs topped the most popular list. When there was still some for the taking , of course wine cellars were raided and consumed too.
My question is, was this looting? Or was it acqusition of the spoils of war? I mean, the palaces were occupied and people had to survive.

Are carpets really bad to have?
My husband and I are building our first house. For the basement floor, we first decided on a Terra-Cotta cement stain. It’s worked beautifully in other homes we’ve been in. But the problem here, is we have two big dogs, cats, and we also plan to have children very soon. These floors are delicate and scratch SO EASILY! It’s been 3 weeks and they’re just so marked up already.
We want to get carpet. We found a high quality Berber carpet with an awesome gaurantee, beautiful color, on sale, 9-10pound under pad. We wish to pursue this.
My concern, is this.
My father used to be in the building maintenance business and has seen the very worse of carpet situations.
He refuses to allow us to do the rug. He will not help us.
He told us carpet is fake, unhealthy, dangerous and FULL of germs and other disgusting things.
He says Persian rugs are the ONLY rug he will allow.
I admit they are wonderful and i love them.
But are carpets all that bad?
oh man the corny jokes kill me?
A woman walks into a shop that sells expensive Persian Rugs.
Looking around, she spots the perfect rug, walks over and inspects it.
As she bends to feel the texture of the rug she farts loudly.
Very embarrassed she looks around nervously to see if anyone has noticed her ‘little accident’ and hopes a sales person does not pop up right now.
As she turns back, there standing next to her is a salesman. "Good day Ma’am, how may we help you today?"
Very uncomfortably she asks, "How much does this rug cost?"
He answers, "Lady if you farted just touching it, you’re gonna crap your pants when you hear what the price is."
i dont know how this got into polls and surveys? sorry guys its suppossed to be in the jokes
HELP! Housebreaking Yorkiepoo NOT going well!!?
Have 4 month old Yorkipoo who stubbornly insists on peeing and pooping on my persian rugs. I’ve tried positive reinforcement with treats and praise when she does her business outside and scold her when she messes in the house. I keep her in the crate overnight and take her out first thing in the morning and periodically throughout the day.
She will poop outside (twice) and immediately come in and within 10 minutes poop on my rug or the floor. Doesn’t really have a "favorite spot" — anywhere will do.
Yesterday, I bought a doggy diaper for her to wear while running around the house and she somehow managed to squeeze a couple out without soiling the diaper.
I JUST DON’T UNDERSTAND!!!!!!
Any suggestions?????
Wool rugs vs Synthetics?
All the expensive persian rugs are made of wool. What are the advantages or benefits of a wool rug vs. a more economical synthetic rug?
Insurance for sending items to be repaired abroad?
I’m sending a couple of high-value items (Persian rugs) abroad to be cleaned and repaired. Is there any type of insurance I could get for the rugs against loss or damage?
The rugs are customers’ rugs so it is important for their peace of mind.
The rugs will be going to Iran to workshops for work to be carried out. It is unlikely they will have insurance which is why I’m looking to see if/what insurance I can get.
