Looking for info on rugs safavieh, home dynamix rugs, oriental area rug, gabbeh persian rugs and more?

was wondering what would be a better cleaner. I was going to use either the Rug Doctor products with the Rug Doctor Steamer or the Rug Doctor Steamer with the Bissell cleaners for major stains from dogs.

The additional problem is that the stains are in a general walk way and we have the added problem of people having walked on the rug – plain and simple.

I have tried using cleaners; but, am raising up my hands in defeat…can someone give me some
suggestions between the two as to which is the better?

My Hoover broke, so I went to Kohl’s and got a really nice deal on a Rug Doctor Mighty Pro. Nice machine, except it’s heavy, and it only extracted 25% or LESS of the water out of the mattresses and couch cushions. SO, I reasearch all nite. There’s a really nice Bissell on sale at Kohl’s too, but many reviews said that when you do furniture, it doens’t extract much water. So, today I go to Kohl’s, and take back the Rug Doctor. I bought a Hoover Max extract. It extracts about 80% of the water, has a few annoying things like any carpet cleaner, but they’re now putting on stiff, short, grey HARD plastic hoses that want to curl up. Also it’s hard to work on the bottom edges of the chairs near the floor, because the hose is so stiff, it gets under the upholstery tool and your hand and blocks you from running the tool down at the very bottom bottom near the floor.

Anyone got any other ideas? I’m not familiar with the Dyson at all. I wouldn’t touch a Shark, and don’t like Oreck anything.

I just bought a used car & there was a slight musty/dingy odor to it, then my dad left the windows rolled down over night during a storm and now there is a DISGUSTING smell that is very noticable when I drive, especially after it’s been sitting out in the sun. Should I use a rug doctor? If not what products can I use to scrub out or clean the upholstery while getting rid of the smell?

I bought a used couch form a very nice family I know. I of course rented a rug doctor and shampooed it before using it. One of the decorative pillows smells like armpit body odor on the corner (must have been the one that someone put under their arm). Febreeze has not worked, any ideas for me to try??

I bought a black light to see if I was really getting the pet yuck out of my rug. I use a Rug doctor pro and all their stuff. I turned on the black light and the area where my yorkie has peed is still glowing. Has any one had luck getting rid of these. I read some where that that glow never goes away even if the pet stain has been cleaned. Is that true?

We have all microfiber living room furniture that we bought about 9 months ago. I have never cleaned it and I think that our sofa and love seat need to be spot cleaned in a few small areas. What would be safe to use on microfiber? We have a Rug Doctor with all of the upholstery attachments, but I don’t dare use it on the microfiber since I heard that it can leave water marks. Any advice?

I just got a used sofa from someone.Was trying to clean it up.Ended up making it look more messy.I bought this and later i came to know that the owner had pets, as lot of hair was coming out.Used a lint roller was able to remove lot of hair.There were very light stains so i got a stain remover, followed the instructions on it, but it did not clear the stain instead it left its own stain.The furniture is from Rowe’s. It is marked both w and s on sofa.On chair it is marked w.How is steam cleaning done.Do i really need it.The sofa is light colored. I saw rug doctor machines in genardis , should i rent them or should i buy a new vaccum cleaner.Which vaccum cleaner would be best and economical, keeping in mind that i dont have pets, but the owners of the set from whom i bought it had them(around 100$).thanks

I bought a super cute area rug at a yardsale for . Because it was sitting in the sun when I bought it I didn’t realized it has a horrible odor until I got it home…my mistake. Since I only paid for the rug, I can’t justify renting a rug doctor for to clean it. I’m willing to put some effort into cleaning it I just don’t know how to go about actually doing it…can anyone help me? Thanks!!

when i ask my moms stupid boyfriend to take his shoes off he never does so i just want to find
a small welcome rug to put infrunt of my door so when people walk in it gets about at least 90% of the dirt and mud and water from shoes. we live on the bottom of a hill so there is nothing but wet mud all the time
and it takes 4 hours to rug doctor with two people in my living room and i dont want to have to get on my knee and hands just to scrub it out. I will pay up to 40$ for 2 small rugs to put by my door what are the best and can i find something at walmart or even a store that makes rugs?

Im not talking just some ordinary rug i want something that will work with just a few swipes of the feet.
Oh and they both must be washable

We have a dark beige microfiber living room furniture set (couch, love seat, and recliner) that we bought a year ago and it now needs to be cleaned. I know that microfiber is prone to water marks, so I am wondering what the safest, most effective way to clean it would be. We own a Rug Doctor steam cleaner with an upholestery attachment and upholesterly cleaner, but I don’t dare get the microfiber material wet. Any ideas?

i bought a rug doctor a few months ago and i cant clean my stairs. the carpet looks nice but the stairs look black and dirty. will some professional carpet cleaners be able to JUST clean my stairs? i just need my stairs cleaned thats all. will they be able to do it or am i going to have to get them to clean my living room if i want my stairs cleaned?

My husband and I are renting a room out in our apartment to someone. There are 3 stains in there and we don’t want to rent a rug doctor thats is a lot from what I have heard and we don’t have money to buy a machine. buy I do have a steam cleaner but you can put chemicals in it I don’t know if that would help. DO you know of anything that would get the stain out. its from our dog we cleaned it up at the moment but you can see little stains from it. PLEASE HELP

I don’t have any money to rent a rug doctor or buy a steam cleaner is there any ther way to clean caprets

I have a 4 month old cookapoo and she is completely trained to go out and potty, so we decided to buy a shih tzu and she is 4 months old, I have tried everything from taking them out the same time and training pads I now have to keep her tied up in the kitchen because she uses the bathroom in the house about 5 times a day, way too many accidents and way too much rug doctor. Can someone help? I think shes cute but I really leaning towards selling her.
