Hi, i’m re-doing my room, and i was going to ask if what i want to do sounds good.

& i want to paint my walls like a light blue.

i’ll paint my furniture chocolate brown, like my desk, dresser, bed, etc.

and also get like a furry shag rug or something like that..i just dont know what color.
and i’m going to get a bean bag or chair… and i already have a pretty big tv.
and i’m going to get a floor lamp (pink), and i’ve already bought 2 blue lamps… one on my nightstand and one on my desk.
i’m gonna get a nightstand from like an antique store or something. .. i also have a huge window in my room and i’ll have to get new curtains..

i was going to paint my room pink, but blue seems more calming..

what do you think?

i’m wanting to completely redo my dorm room, because it looks horrible. lol. i just bought random stuff at the beginning and it looks terrible..where can i find cute bed stuff/rugs/lamps(with shades)/etc. i’m really wanting blue or black & white stuff..i was thinking about like a black & white floral time theme..where can i buy these kind of things..i’m mainly looking for stores that i can visit (target, walmart, jcpenneys, etc) not online places.

I would like a modern looking rug (more geometric than flowery or girly looking. I would like to have it in a neutral color or a deep red or dark color.. Wouldnt like to spend over 100 for sure. It would go under our kitchen table so like 7×9 or 8×10.. Around where I live theres an ikea.. sears.. target.. I just went to ikea and the selection wasnt great.

I wanna buy a night table a futon, new comforters, a lamp, a mirror, a rug and all kinds of things but i cant find this stuff anywhere. I’ve searched Jc pennys, Macys, Ikea, walmart, target. They dont really have to much stuff. Wheres a good place to get stuff?

We have hardwood floors all throughout the upstairs of our house. We’d like to put a large rug or carpet that covers a good portion (but not all) of our 13 month old’s room. I’ve checked overstock.com, lowes, wal mart, target, and home depot. Anyone know of a place that sells them for a reasonable price? Something similar to those rugs for college dorms?

I’m re-doing my room, but on a tight budget. I’m looking for a neon or lime colored Rug, at a decent price for my bedroom. I’m also looking for a neon or lime colored dresser and/or desk. I looked at walmart, target and lowes and cant find them. Does anybody know where and the prices?

My girlfriend and I finally got our own place, a small aparment.(yes we are both girls, &we are a couple) We are going to have a housewarming party or shower whatever you’d like to call it. Im just starting college and she’s trying to finish school while holding 2 jobs. This is our first own place together and we are super excited to have a place we can call our home, we can’t wait to move in. It is quite a small 1bed 1 bath apartment, so we aren’t expecting many ppl to come, but if they do I hope we’ll have space. We already have a few things like a bed, a drawer, plastic side tables, a small tv, dvd/vhs player, a radio, some glassware, just some stuff we have from staying at my moms; but we still need a lot of things: small things like bath towels and kitchen towels, plates and silverware, pots and pans, bath rug and theme set, etc: and big things like a microwave, refrigerator, sofabed, dinner table and chairs, vacuum etc… so we are planning to register at walmart, target, bed bath and beyond. We also plan to save up to get the refrigerator, sofabed, and dinner table ourselves. Ppl have been asking us what we need, so im guessing they’d like to contrubute. We are moving on the sept. 6th, 08 and we are planning to have the "apartment"-warming on the 20th at 2pm, is that too early of a date? Is it ok to have one even though we won’t have much? And what about the time? Should we register at more than one store? We have looked, and we like different things from different stores. Which other stores would you recommend? What kind of food should we have? Should it be a potluck? What activities should we do? What sort of decorations should we have? What sort of drinks should we have? Soda, water, punch, alcohol?
P.s. We are 19 and 21, and we are inviting her family and our friends…
Idk if I should invite my parents or family, because of this whole drama that happened between my mom and my girlfriend… so do you think I should invite my parents and family even though they hate her and are mad at me? Isn’t it only polite to? Or will it seem like a slap in the face to my mom, like rude to her? Then there’s my stepdads family, they love my gf and id really like to invite them, but I don’t think its appropriate to bcuz of what has happened, he’s the one that kicked her out…

so yeah anything u have to say would help me alot, any ideas also.

!!!ALSO… IF YOU DON’T HAVE ANYTHING NICE TO SAY THEN DON’T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL. I don’t care if you think its not right for us to throw our own housewarming, or if you think its not right to have a housewarming at an aparment, or if you think its selfish to register and expect gifts… we are going to move into our own place, and it is a home to us, and we are going to have a housewarming, and our family and friends have asked us what we need so we are going to register, SO if you don’t agree with any of this then I don’t need your negative input, ok.

I was thinking of painting my walls a burnt orange type of color. My old wall color is chipped and such. What do you think?

Can you go to Walmart’s, Target’s, or etc. website and help find a small area rug that would look good in that space?

Also, what curtain color would you suggest, and what type?

I’m wondering if there are any websites you can visit that will show you an entire room bedroom, living room etc) fully furnished (accesories included such as lamps rugs, etc). From here you can buy all products that you see. A more inexpensive store would be great. i thought maybe Target had it since they have a lot of top designers designing for them at a lower price but they do not offer this feature. anyhow if anyone knows of Any sites, i would appreciate if you would let me know.

i want to redo my bedroom with an 80′s peace theme (like tiedie bedding and peace sign stuff) and i dont know where to find anything. i want stores like bed bath and beyond or target. im looking for: tie die bed sheets, pillows, rugs, lamps, candles, and suggestions for wall colors

If I order a rug from Babies R Us online, can I return it in the store? I’m not sure of the color of the rug…can’t quite tell from the picture if it’s the right shade of blue. But I don’t want to have to pay to ship it back if it doesn’t work.

Also, what about Target? They have the same rug online. If I can get free shipping and then return in store, I have no problem ordering.

Okay, so I’m being cheap! However, I saw these really cute pink shag area rugs on sale at Target this week. I need it to be larger than the 5 x 8, so I was thinking of somehow binding the two so I would have a 10 x 16. Does anyone know if this is possible? I don’t want to use anything too gooey to join them because the rug will be going over hardwood floors. Let’s hear some creative practical solutions that will work please!
