Deal of The Day:

What religion is this?

Looking for info on rugs safavieh, home dynamix rugs, oriental area rug, gabbeh persian rugs and more?

When the people at the airport get on their hand & knees to bless the plane? I also used to work with a guy who brought his religious mat or rug to work because he had to pray 5 times a day. Is that the same religion? Please don’t leave bad comments about them, I’m just trying to become alittle more informed but respect everyone for their different beliefs. Thanks
Thank you guys, I thought that the people at the airport were Hisidis Jews at first but they didn’t have beards. Man, I have alot to learn.

Yes they are Muslims, we have to pray 5 times aday at certain times.
we dont show off, it is just that Islam prayers are different from Christian prayers, christians can just pray at anytime and talk to God, but we (Muslims) have certain rules of praying, like "wodoua" its washing many parts of ur body before each prayer, also praying in Islam has to be in a clean place for example, a place that no dogs touched, nobody urinate at it…etc and thats why we need to have those praying rugs so we make sure we meet God while we are clean and standing on a clean place.
no offense to christian prayers, but islam prayers are just a bit more difficult, we have to say certain words from Holly Quran while standing, some other while putting our heads on the floor…etc.
praying in Islam is a must, its one of our five pilars of Islam, so thats why we pray at any place when we hear "azan" (a call for prayers) but we cant pray at cars, cause of the rules of praying i just mentioned.
u noticed people praying at airport, its not just to bless the plane, its also because of prayer timing u know.
the most beautiful thing about prayer timing is that Muslims from all around the world pray at the same time facing "Kaaba" at mecca saudi arabia, so its like we’re all facing the same place at the same time five times aday.

Sounds pretty smart to bless a plane before takeoff. I pray before I take a trip.

It would be interesting to see what would happen if a group of people began reciting the Rosary on a plane or even chanting in tongues.

Let’s all ignore others and everybody do their own thing.

I am Christian, sounds like Islam to me.We are taught to pray in private ,they are taught differently.I have no problem with any one praying any where any time.

I don’t know about the blessing of the plane thing- but the other guy who brought the mat to pray 5 times a day was probably a Muslim. The mat faces Mecca (in Saudi Arabia).

  • peaceman says:

The first group might be worshippers of the god of iron or that of travel/transportation (I can’t be sure), but the latter definitely belongs to Islam.

  • A2Z says:

Better pray to GOD before it is too late, no one know whether one will live till next prayer or may be it will be performed (last prayer of the decease before burial) on anyone.
